The first gameplay trailer for Batman: The Telltale Series is out this week, alongside a formal timeline for the episodic adventure’s digital debut, and Telltale’s first foray into the DC Comics multiverse looks even better than it did when we saw Batman: The Telltale Series at E3 2016 .
Last Friday, WB Interactive and Telltale Games announced a partnership to bring Batman: The Telltale Series and the next season of The Walking Dead to retail stores around the globe. While we didn’t get much information on the latter, we found out the former would make its digital debut in August, followed by a physical release on Sept. 13. This week, Telltale confirmed it will publish the first episode of Batman: The Telltale Series, “Realm of Shadows”, on August 2.
The new trailer also confirms Batman: The Telltale Series picked up a Mature rating; a designation that might shock some casual fans but shouldn’t be nearly as surprising to comic readers familiar with darker Batman books like “The Killing Joke” or “The Black Glove”. The announcement also revealed some of the iconic characters we’ll see in Batman: The Telltale Series and the various voice actors chosen for each role.
Here’s the current list:
- Alfred Pennyworth - Enn Reitel
- Bruce Wayne - Troy Baker
- Carmine Falcone - Richard McGonagle
- Harvey Dent - Travis Willingham
- James Gordon - Murphy Guyer
- Selina Kyle - Laura Bailey
- Vicki Vale - Erin Yvette
