BeamNG.drive Update v0.21.1 Replay System Fixed, Bug Fixes, And More

BeamNG, the developer of BeamNG.drive, just released a new update that fixes the game's closing and replay system. These are issues that persisted in the past updates but are now resolved. The developers also worked on improving the Smart Recovery system, World Editor, and game localization in the current update. There are alternatives to the smart recovery system that you can find in the game settings.

Another nice change is the improvement made to the AI system. Now, you can go past oncoming vehicles on narrow roads. Few vehicles and levels have received some adjustments that make the game more fun to play.

Game Engine

  • Added option for showing triggers in the “Visualization” menu
  • Fixed issue of duplicated items in the “Visualization” menu
  • Fixed typos

Input

  • Restored Lua Virtual Input API to operational status. Remote App support restored

AI

  • Improved ability to go past oncoming vehicles in narrow two-way roads.

Audio

  • Tweak to asphalt skid to reduce top pitch curve and increase modulation

UI

  • Updated locales
  • Swapped icon for ‘Follow Me’ AI mode in radial menu
  • Updated localization files for all languages to include missing lines, fixed typos

LUA

  • Active LSDs now also lock when brake and throttle are used at the same time

Misc

  • Added alternative mode for recovery which doesn’t use the new “Smart Recovery”. You can use it either with Ctrl + Insert or by disabling the “Smart Recovery” option in the settings.
