Good news for PC players! Bravely Default 2 is now available through Steam. Even better is it’s being offered at a 10% discount until September 13. The game follows four heroes who travel across Excillant looking for the four elemental crystals.
The game was first released on Nintendo Switch back in February of this year.
While Bravely Default 2 is the third game in the Bravely franchise, it offers a new story and new characters. Thus, this time around the story is set in a continent known as Excillant, which is divided into five kingdoms. Here are the four characters:
- Seth (a young sailor)
- Gloria (a refugee princess)
- Elvis (a traveling scholar)
- Adelle (a mercenary)
The four are searching for four crystals representing the elements Wind, Water, Earth, and Fire. During their journey, the four learned that they are actually the Heroes of Light. It turned out that in the history of Excillant, an ancient evil known as the Night’s Nexus, needs to be sealed and it is the crystals that choose the four warriors to do the task.
With this release, PC players can now experience the Brave and Default systems where great risk leads to greater rewards in turn-based battles. Players can also make use of the job system to customize their party and get the best combination to take down bosses.
The game also features music from Revo, the same one who provided music for the original Bravely Default. In addition, the Steam version offers controller support along with different resolution options.
