Supercell’s latest game, Brawl Stars gets its first set of balance changes this week. Find out who’s getting buffed and nerfed, here.
Last week Supercell dropped a bombshell on fans of the development houses’ games as the company announced a brand new game that has quickly become as beloved as their four previous games. Brawls Stars soft launched in Canada last week and while we’ve yet to hear a worldwide release date yet, the game is seeing its first set of balance changes dropped today. In an announcement on Reddit, Supercell outlined all the character receiving buffs and nerfs in this first set of balance changes, along with some updates to how players earn gold in the game. Looking over the balances most seem reasonable. The one thing I think most players will balk at are the changes to the amounts of coins that can be earned each day. Overall, they’ve been reduced by 28 per day, and for those of us trying to grind away at chest without spending any real cash, this definitely makes the gameplay more frustrating. Let’s hope there will be some nice bundles announced when the game goes live worldwide. You can check out the full details of Tuesday’s balance changes below.
Brawl Stars June Character Balance Changes: Which Characters Get Buffed And Nerfed?
- Nita – her bear is getting nerfed with his HP reducing form 1200 to 1000 but health decay has been removed.
- Jessie - Removed health decay has been removed from from the turret. (Jessie is one of my favorite characters so I’m happy to see this change)
- Ricochet - Shoots one additional bullet during his main attack, which increases possible attack damage by 80.
- Dynamike - Increased main attack damage from 140 to 160
- Poco – His attack range has been reduced 15% but his super can work over walls. While I loved it when a teammate has Poco on board, this range balance change is definitely needed.
Other Changes In Brawl Stars Update
- Heist Map Update - In addition to balancing a few of the character, Supercell also made a few changes to the maps in games like Heist, which tended to favor attackers too much.
- Showdown Map Update – the Showdown Map is getting fewer bushes so players can’t spend as much time hiding and waiting for others to be eliminated.
- Event Gold Distribution Changes - Overall max coin rewards lowered to give smoother progression to new players.
- Event 1 max coin reward changed from 80 to 60 gold.
- New event coin reward changed from 12 to 8. (First win changed from 12 to 8)
- Event 2 not changed, still 40 gold.
- New event coin reward changed from 12 to 8. (First win changed from 12 to 8)
- Event 3 max coin reward changed from 12 to 16.
- Event 4 max coin reward from 20 to 16
- Brawler rank up gold reward changed from 20 to 10 gold.
- Event 1 max coin reward changed from 80 to 60 gold.
- Improved Matchmaking – matchmaking has been honed for a better experience early on. In Heist a big was fixed that caused players to play defense too often.
