Any Call of Duty multiplayer is incomplete without having the popular Nuketown map. Treyarch knows this, and this is why the developer is introducing a new variation of everyone's beloved Nuketown map for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
The Nuketown map being introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War seems to take inspiration from a junkyard location, while keeping the structure similar to the original Nuketown that players remember. Treyarch calls this variation of the map Nuketown '84. Along with the release of the new map, playing Black Ops Cold War this weekend will reward you with double XP and double weapon XP until November 30. The Nuketown '84 playlist will feature fan-favorite modes like TDM, Domination, Hardpoint, and Search and Destroy.
Nuketown is infamously known for its small size, which puts players into the action as soon they spawn. Some modes that require holding an objective, like Domination and Hardpoint, can result in massive chaos.
Players will want to take advantage of the double XP and double weapon XP boosts, which should help them level up quickly. Moreover, the XP boost also applies to Zombies, in case you don't want to sweat it out in the multiplayer. Additionally, Treyarch also rewarded players with a special Nuketown Weapon Bundle for everyone who logged into the Black Ops Cold War between November 13 and November 20. The special bundle includes a shotgun blueprint and six weapon charms. The Nuketwon Weapon Bundle was an indication that the infamous map would show up sometime in the game. However, Treyarch has confirmed that you can once again redeem the bundle by simply logging into Black Ops Cold War before December 3.
On a related note, Treyarch has confirmed that Black Ops Cold War will eventually integrate with Warzone, and it'll be interesting to see if the developer will somehow integrate Nuketown into Warzone as well.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
