A new leak sparks the fire yet again on the rumored "Fortnite" x "One Piece" crossover. There have been rumors over the years about Epic Games' interest in a possible collaboration with the famed franchise from Japan's Shonen Jump.
This is not the first time that "Fortnite" has crossed over with notable Shonen anime/manga franchises in the past as it already featured the likes of "Dragon Ball" extensively, alongside "Naruto," "My Hero Academia," and more.
'Fortnite' x 'One Piece' Crossover Leak
A leaker known as 'NotPaloleaks' shared a new post on X which has reignited the hype again over the possible crossover of "Fortnite" and "One Piece." It has been claimed that the crossover would feature two waves of cosmetic releases, with "One Piece" bringing its most iconic characters in one drop and more to follow in another.
This has been one of the top requested crossovers by "Fortnite" fans in the past as Epic Games has successfully collaborated with many anime titles. One of the most iconic crossovers of "Fortnite" with anime franchises includes "Dragon Ball," which made various drops in the past already.
Epic Games followed it up with the likes of "Attack on Titan," "Jujutsu Kaisen," "Kaiju No. 8," "Cowboy Bebop," and more. Other rumored and requested anime crossovers on "Fortnite" include "Demon Slayer" and Korea's "Solo Leveling" manhwa franchise.
What to Expect from Rumored 'Fortnite' x 'One Piece' Crossover?
An important bit of information that the leak shared are the first five characters reportedly joining "Fortnite" as part of the collaboration. For the first wave of releases, the leak has claimed that the original Straw Hat Pirates and its leader would make up the list. This includes:
- Monkey D. Luffy
- Roronoa Zoro
- Nami
- Usopp
- Sanji
The leaker did not reveal details about the featured characters that will be released as skins set for release as the second wave of this rumored crossover. According to GameRant, "One Piece's" massive franchise opens up the numerous possibilities of characters making it to the game.
Other possible popular characters include Tony Tony Chopper, Nico Robin, Buggy the Clown, Crocodile, and more. It remains unknown if Epic Games is also considering one of the most iconic pirates in the franchise, Shanks, to also join the pirate cast in.
It should be noted that the leaker has clarified that this remains largely a rumor, and it remains unconfirmed by Epic Games or Shonen Jump as of press time.
