Call Of Duty’s free-to-play battle royale game, Warzone, is rumored to receive a new zombies game mode in an upcoming update. The zombies royale mode will be a bit different from its predecessors, considering it is still a battle royale game. If you have played Halo’s infected game mode or Modern Warfare 3 infected, you will know these types of games can be a blast to play.
According to information provided by a Call Of Duty data miner going by ModernWarzone, there are going to be several new game modes in the near future. Some of the files he found contained the following names:
- Pandemic / Outbreak
- Armored Cargo/Truck Wars
- Plunder: Fire Sale
- Zombies Royale
ModernWarzone also revealed the description for the zombies royale game mode: “Be the last team with a human alive to win. Players turn into Zombies on death, but can become human again by consuming fallen player's hearts.”
Zombies royale does have an interesting twist that makes you come back to human form if you take down other enemy players. This aspect makes it a bit different compared to Modern Warfare 3’s infected game mode. Personally, I think this will make Warzone more interesting to play if you can come back to life after being turned.
Infinity Ward has been doing a great job of supporting the Warzone community by releasing tons of content. While there is no official date when the game mode will go live, or even an official announcement as of yet, Infinity Ward could make some kind of hubbub or tease during the Black Ops Cold War reveal, or even before the sixth season of Warzone starts.
So, what are your thoughts on Call Of Duty: Warzone receiving new content updates regularly? Do you think Infinity Ward will be able to keep the popularity of Warzone stable as time goes on? Whatever your thoughts may be, let us know in the comments below.
