Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare has been missing leaderboards and Combat Records since launch, but Infinity Ward has broken the silence over when those updates and more will arrive. On the game’s official subreddit, studio community manager Ashton Williams offered a roadmap for what’s to come.
Williams confirmed leaderboards will arrive later this month. Specifically, they’ll illustrate what your percentile is and if you’re in the top 10,000. If you are part of the top 10,000, you’ll be able to see the specific ranking number. This limitation is designed to make leaderboards feel more competitive, and it won’t impact friend-specific leaderboards. That means you’ll be able to see exactly where you stand amongst players you know.
As for why Combat Records will take much longer, Williams notes “we are designing the UI for the Combat Record and deciding what kind of data is included so there's a lot to it.” A similar scenario must also be true for features like Custom Emblems that are scheduled for a late February update as well.
Beyond these major gaps, Infinity Ward hinted at smaller improvements that will come to Infinite Warfare as an online multiplayer service. Tactical Team Deathmatch will now be a permanent mode, and any other limited-time modes will now be active for an entire week as opposed to a single weekend.
The January update for Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare potentially has a lot to offer players. In addition to leaderboard support, we also know the Sabotage DLC is just around the corner. That content is set to arrive Jan. 31 at 12 a.m. EST on PS4, so it will likely be added around the same time.
