The recent release from Ubisoft, "Assassin's Creed Shadows," was not meant for a 2025 release but because of delays, it only came out this March. That being said, there is a new report from a leaker that Ubisoft is planning for another game to come out this year, one that was really meant for a 2025 release from the beginning.
Since Ubisoft released the much-awaited feudal Japan-themed "Assassin's Creed," it has been met with critical acclaim and an overall warm reception from fans, who appreciate its story, graphics, and more.
'Assassin's Creed' Is Reportedly Releasing Another Game This Year
The hype behind "Assassin's Creed Shadows" has got many players excited for what is coming from Ubisoft as fans are asking about the future of the franchise, including the previously revealed titles in previous events.
As the world is now talking about the massive experiences to enjoy in the new Japan-focused stealth action title, users are now asking about the other titles coming from Ubisoft.
When a certain user asked about details on when "Assassin's Creed Invictus" is coming, they also tagged a leaker who previously talked about it, Tom Henderson. The leaker did not disappoint, particularly as he responded to the fan regarding the new game, claiming that it "should be" coming this year.
However, Henderson did not share other specific details about the rumored game, including when exactly it's expected to arrive. It should be noted that Ubisoft has yet to confirm if such a game exists as of press time.
Fans are also scrambling for information about the future "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" remake, which was also speculated to be under development by the company.
Leaks Claim Multiplayer 'Assassin's Creed' to Follow 'Shadows'
According to ComicBook Gaming, "Assassin's Creed Invictus" is a project from Ubisoft that will reportedly change the single-player story experience of the franchise into a multiplayer action-type match.
It garnered comparisons to the likes of "Fall Guys," another multiplayer action game which focuses more on a battle royale-like experience. This previous claim said that "Invictus" would bring 16-player matches where they would compete in various game modes or events in the theme of "Assassin's Creed."
Another report claimed that it will focus on Team Deathmatch gameplay where players would band together to defeat enemies or other players. Moreover, reports claimed that it will also feature a "free-for-fall" version as well as a speed run mode where players would have to race to different points on the map.
