Call of Duty Modern Warfare Season 2 is now live and arriving along with the new season is a new Battle Pass. The new season brings a lot of new content and features. Today we look into some of the new things from Season 2, as well as what the Battle Pass has to offer.
New Season
Season 2 offers the new Operator, Ghost, who can be accessed immediately by players once they get the Battle Pass. Aside from a new Operator there are also three new maps which are Rust (Standard Multiplayer and Gunfight), Atlas Superstore (Standard Multiplayer), and Zhokov Boneyard (Ground War).
There are also new game modes like Gunfight Tournaments, where a team of two can enter a single elimination 2v2 battle and earn rewards. Another is the Call of Duty League Ruleset Playlist, which should give casual players the feel of playing like the pros.
New Trials are offered as well, like the Quad Race where players race to an ATV and see who gets to the finish line first. Fire in the Hole, meanwhile, should be exciting for some as it lets players throw as many frags as possible on a target within a time limit. Price’s Alley helps keep your decision-making skills sharp as players need to eliminate enemies that come in waves, but have civilians mixed in. Finally there is Behind Enemy Lines, where the goal is to eliminate all enemies in an area as quickly as possible.
Battle Pass
Players can buy the battle pass for 1000 CP, which immediately gives them access to the New Operator Ghost along with 100 Tiers of new content. It also gives a total of 1,300 COD Points back as players work through the tiers.
There’s also the Battle Pass Bundle available for 2400 CP. It includes all of what has been mentioned so far, plus the ability to skip 20 tiers. Since each tier offers at least one seasonal reward, that means with the Bundle players already get new items all at once.
For those who don't choose to buy the Bundle, it’s still possible to skip any tier, but it’s going to cost 150 CP each.
Once players get the Battle Pass, there are already a lot of items and rewards at Tier 1. Tier 1 includes:
- Ghost Operator
- Operator skin and mission
- Thorne Operator skin and mission
- Epic ‘Time Traveler’ Watch
- Special Season Two XP boost
- Epic ‘Dusk’ LMG blueprint
That’s just Tier 1, so expect a lot more as the tiers go higher. Other rewards the players can unlock include:
- Grau 5.56 long range assault rifle (Tier 15)
- Striker heavy-hitting submachine gun (Tier 31)
- Black and Blue Operator skin and Operator mission for Golem (Tier 50)
If you haven’t started with the new season, now would be a good time indeed.
