Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 03 arrives on Wednesday but Infinity Ward already revealed the new content that you can expect once the update goes live. Some of the upcoming things include the new Barter System, Active Duty Operator Slots, and new backpacks. Read further to learn more.
Trade for Goods
Once Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 03 goes live, all Buy Stations across every Exclusion Zone will have a new option called Bartering. This lets you use Barter Recipes that contain a list of components you need to build an item. Once it’s built, the resulting item can be exchanged for other goods of your choice.
At the beginning of the new season, some of the recipes that will be available to you include new Plate Carriers, Backpacks, Killstreaks, Self-Revive Kits, and Keys. However, it’s worth noting that not all of these are accessible in just one Buy Station. That’s why you have to venture out and see what other Buy Stations have on offer.
The new Barter System is a great way for you and your allies to find hard-to-earn items, and rewards those who put time and effort into scavenging for new recipes.
Tweak Your Contrabands
Another thing that you need to be aware of in Season 03 is the Contraband Workbench, which lets you add attachments to a Contraband or Insured Weapon for a price. Perhaps you can attach a suppressor for those stealth kills, or maybe utilize thermal optics to help you see enemies through thick smoke.
More Operator Slots
Also coming to Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 are Active Duty Operator Slots that allow you to have separate operators with their own on-soldier items. This is pretty useful as you no longer have to tinker with each of your preferred operators every time you go to the DMZ.
Anyway, in each operator slot, you can tweak the following:
- Backpack
- Plate Carrier
- Killstreaks
- Self-Revive Kits
- Gas Mask
You can launch only one Active Operator to the Exclusion Zone. Keep in mind that items they bring back and are not part of the global loadout, such as primary and secondary weapons, Lethal and Tactical Equipment, and Field Upgrades, are only for the Active Duty Operator you’ve used during the run. This means that Contraband Weapons are shared between Active Duty Operators, but not Keys.
Secure Your Belongings
If there are weapons and items you want to secure in your inventory, you should get your hands on the new Secure Backpacks. These things will ensure that your Non-Contraband, non-on-soldier items do not get converted to XP upon extraction. Additionally, everything you’ve put inside a Secure Backpack will remain to the Active Duty Operator even if they are eliminated in an Extraction Zone.
So, what can you say about the new stuff in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 03?
