The second season of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is coming very soon and it has plenty of things to offer - one of which is the return of a fan-favorite game mode along with a new battleground.
Resurgence Mode is Back
The frenetic Resurgence game mode is returning to Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 on February 15. This time, you will be fighting on a new battleground known as Ashika Island. This place is said to have been used as a hub for the Ultranationalist Konni Group to transport chemical and biological weapons.
Ashika Island has notable points of interest. There are multiple gas stations that allow you to refuel and repair your vehicles when needed. At the south harbor, you will find a floating gas station that lets you repair your aquatic vehicles. Moreover, you can use the sea wall as a place for sniping, though you will be seen in plain sight due to the lack of cover.
The main stronghold is one of the largest places on Ashika Island. This POI provides you with plenty of hiding spots and places to explore. For example, you can head to the third-floor rooftop server room to get a good view or get to exits in all directions if you need to escape.
The new Ashika Island serves as a perfect battleground for Resurgence Mode. For those who don’t know, Resurgence is a game mode in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 that allows you and your squad members to respawn without limit, as long as one of the members is alive.
Other Changes
The Battle Royale mode is going to receive some significant changes in season two. For one, 1v1 Gulag is coming back with a Domination-style flag control point mechanic.
In addition, Infinity Ward has revealed that the loadout pool will include assault rifles, submachine guns, and light machine guns as primary weapons. Shotguns may have been too effective in the Gulag, so the company has removed them from the weapon pool. Handguns remain as secondary weapons.
These UI improvements can be expected as well:
- Improved navigation and organization of Camo menu
- More polished Social tab, including improved channel swapping and player muting
- New “My Bundles” screen
- Quick equip items from Battlepass, My Bundles, and Store
- Reticle previews in Store and Gunsmith
- Improved clarity of attachment blocking logic in Gunsmith
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 2 is launching on February 15.
