Clash Of Clans ’ next big update is coming soon, and it introduces Builder Hall 7 to the game alongside two new troops. The Giant Cannon and Drop Ship may have leaked in the past, but now the public will finally get the chance to see what they’re all about. A trailer and forum post offer the first details and gameplay footage.
In addition to the new troops, the Builder Hall 7 update will significantly impact other aspects of the game. Once you pay the upgrade cost of 1,800,000 and wait four days, elixir and gold storage capacity will raise to 600,000 with a loot cap of 4,000. Players will also be able to build one more Hidden Tesla, Firecracker, Army Camp and Giant Cannon with four more wall segments.
The following offensive troops will now be upgradeable to level 14 with the following camp increases:
- Raged Barbarians: +5 units per Army Camp
- Sneaky Archers: +2 units per Army Camp
- Boxer Giants: Improves the Power Punch ability
- Beta Minion: Improves the Long Shot ability
- Bomber: Improves the Big Bomb ability
- Baby Dragon: Improves the Tantrum ability
- Cannon Cart: +20 damage per second
- Night Witch: +20 percent Bat spawning speed
The Battle Machine can be upgraded to level 15, too.
Giant Cannon: It can demolish several troops in a single blast to utterly destroy ground attacks. Its projectile keeps clearing troops in its path until it leaves the map, and it can destroy a Battle Machine in a few hits.
- Range: 9 tiles
- Damage Type: Single Target
- Targets: Ground
- Favorite Target: Any
Drop Ship: Confuses ground defenses by dropping Skeletons. These Skeletons can be used as a distraction or as a means of clearing ground-based defenses like the Giant Cannon.
- Damage Type: Area Splash
- Targets: Ground
- Favorite Target: Any
- Units Per Camp: 2
- Movement Speed: 12
- Skeleton Burst: Deals 100 damage and spawns four Skeletons when destroyed.
You can also tune in to a special Builder Hall 7 update stream hosted by YouTube’s Galadon and Klaus. It begins Sept. 26 at 11 a.m. EDT. No release date has been offered for the update at this time, but it’s possible the stream might relay that information to fans. As those who follow Clash Of Clans closely will know, this is one more update in a series focusing primarily on the Builder Base as opposed to the standard Town Hall.
That being said, those who enjoy the more tried and true Clash experience shouldn’t fret. In the wake of the Builder Hall announcement, Supercell community management staff assured fans that “the BH7 content has been in production since the BH launch so this doesn't interfere with any new content we're working on. We are focusing on the Town Hall, but we wanted to get this content out first.”
This statement lines up perfectly with what we’ve noticed as well. Glimpses of the Drop Ship appear in some of the original screenshots for the Builder Hall, so the troop has obviously been in the works for a while. Also, while the Town Hall won’t be getting any new troops this month, there might be some balance changes to look forward to.
Clash Of Clans is available now on Android and iOS. The Builder Hall 7 stream takes place Sept. 26 at 11 a.m. EDT.
