Clash Of Clans is in the midst of a special Golem Event, and a Jump Spell one is expected to go live early next week. Here are the dates, times and details you should know to get the most gems and XP possible.
First and foremost is the update to Golems. For a limited time, the expensive troop’s Dark Elixir training cost will be discounted proportionally from 750 to 75 based on player level. In addition to that is a special challenge. Players must win three multiplayer matches with at least two Golems in their armies. If successful, you’ll get 300 XP and 30 gems. The boost should carry through Monday.
Below the current event rules, however, is also a preview of what’s next. The screenshot below reveals that Jump Spells will be the focus of the next big promotion. If last week’s event schedule is any indication, we expect that one to go live early Tuesday morning. Most of these Clash Of Clans events have been based around troops or loot. It will be interesting to see how the scales tip when spells are favored.
For now, of course, we should all be taking advantage of Golems in the best way possible. In that regard there are lots of strategies to consider. However, the main function of Golems is acting as a damage sponge in standard GoWPie attacks. In that case, if you want to win, team up your Golems with troops like Wizards and P.E.K.K.A. Ironically, taking advantage of Jump Spells is a pretty solid way to augment what your Golem brings to the table as well. Don’t let those splash damage defenses destroy your formation.
Clash Of Clans events were introduced in the December update, and they’ve been going down pretty well. Sor far there have been promotions for Hog Riders, Dragons and Star Bonus. The different challenges involved give players something to work towards.
