Clash Of Clans has a new event, and it’s bringing 2X Star Bonus to the game. Once that finishes, we expect a heavy troop discount on Golems for the weekend. These promotions can be a lot to keep track of, so here are the dates and times you should know.
As seen in the Clash Of Clans mobile events tab, the Star Bonus event is happening now, and it awards 2X the Treasury loot for victories in multiplayer matches. If last week’s span of events is any indication, that promotion will likely carry through Friday. Once Saturday rolls around, an unspecified Golem event is scheduled.
The full details aren’t known yet, but previous troop-based events give us a pretty solid idea of what to expect. Last week, for example, Dragon training cost was discounted substantially alongside a themed challenge. Using at least four Dragons in three multiplayer matches netted players 30 gems and 300 experience. We anticipate a similar perk this time around.
With regard to today’s promotion, there isn’t much in the way of tips or strategy we can offer. Just try to put yourself in a position to win as many times as possible. Because Star Bonuses are tied to one’s league, those in the highest leagues have the most to gain. What’s most important is what happens afterward. A loot bonus is only as good as how it’s managed. Don’t squander everything immediately, unless you’re a new player with few other options. Keep building up that army with your stored Elixir from last week, and construct new defenses to maintain your progress.
We’ll delve into more detail on Golem strategies when the time comes, but it’s worth teasing that there are tons to consider. Inferno Towers can be a Golem’s worst nightmare, so maybe building those with your Star Bonus loot is a good investment for the coming days.
Events were added in the Clash Of Clans December update, and they seem to be going down well with the game’s community. They encourage the use of ignored troops and offer a subtle adjustment to the gameplay loop to keep matches feeling fresh.
