A recent tweet from Xbox Game Pass suggests that Remedy's Control may be arriving to Microsoft's subscription service sometime in February.
Last year, Xbox head Phil Spencer said that Control did not reach many people and adding it to Xbox Game Pass will allow more people to get their hands on the game. "I thought Control was really good, it didn't reach enough people, so I'm glad to see it's coming in to Game Pass so hopefully more people play it," Spencer stated in a Mixer stream last year. “It’s a game that should be played from our friends at Remedy. We love Remedy.”
As soon as Spencer stated this, news started spreading like wildfire across the internet. However, soon after 505 Games and Xbox Game Pass confirmed on Twitter than there was no news or announcements regarding Control arriving on Xbox Game Pass at the time.
The Xbox Game Pass team tweeted, "We’re aware that Control was mentioned as coming to the Xbox Game Pass library and can confirm this was in error. While we are always updating the library and looking for new ways to provide our members with value and choice in their games, we do not have plans to bring Control to the library at this time."
Now it's been two months since that announcement and a new tweet from Xbox Game Pass caught our attention.
The tweet uses different fonts to state that February is going to be a "really" good month for Xbox Game Pass. Although we are just giving away our best guesses at how Control uses fonts to create an atmosphere, it is possible that the tweet is a small clever teaser that most people haven't guessed yet.
Nonetheless, we will have you updated as soon as if we learn something.
