The second sequel in the highly underrated strategy cooking game, Cook, Serve, Delicious! will be arriving soon for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The release of the hilariously titled Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! has been announced by developer Vertigo Gaming Inc.
The second sequel in the Cook, Serve, Delicious! series of games gives players a story "set in the radically-changed war-torn America of 2042”. The game has players traveling across the United States to participate in the Iron Cook National Foodtruck Championships along with your trusty robot crew Whisk and Cleaver.
Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! comes with multiple game modes that players can enjoy. First is the story driven campaign that introduces hundreds of foods that are new to the series. These are all distributed across hundreds of levels in a new gameplay structure that offers a new and fast-paced challenge.
The next game mode is Zen Campaign, for those who want to go through all of the courses and the plot without the pressure your usual campaign adds. Lastly, a co-op mode with your friend has you coasting through the different meals that are available to cook in the game. Playing more gives you cool unlockables, such as cosmetic or gameplay upgrades for your food trucks or unlocking new food to add to your expanding menu.
With Cook, Serve, Delicious! and Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! selling a combined 1 million copies, the series is an undeniable commercial success. Not to mention its equally impressive critical reception, with both games currently holding an “Overwhelmingly Positive” and “Very Positive” Rating on Steam, respectively. It might be too early to tell, but it already feels like Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! will surely be a hit for both fans of the franchise and those who are new to the casual strategy genre.
Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! will release first on Steam’s Early Access this coming January, with a targeted Q3 2020 version 1.0 launch date for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
