It's less than two weeks before Cyberpunk 2077 goes live. Naturally, fans are super-excited to learn everything about the game. CD Projekt Red did everything it can to give us an idea of what to expect in the game.
Fans know that Cyberpunk 2077 will feature Life Paths and deep character customization. They are aware as well of the backstory after the gameplay trailer came out.
Recently, CD Projekt Red's QA Lead Łukasz Babie stated that he was 175 hours into the game and hasn't yet reached the end credits. So, it seems that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to a big game with tons of things for players to immerse themselves in. Even so, fans will expect the game to receive similar post-launch content updates as The Witcher 3.
CD Projekt Red verified that Cyberpunk 2077 will get post-launch content and several free DLCs. But fans need to wait until the game's release to learn post-launch plans.
“The initial plan was to do it (reveal post-launch content) before release, but after the recent delay, we decided to wait for the release to provide gamers with the game and then start talking about future projects. So, after release,” said Cyberpunk 2077's president and joint-CEO Adam Kiciński in an article.
Previously, Kiciński mentioned that Cyberpunk 2077 will have no less DLC than The Witcher 3. As a reference, The Witcher 3 received 16 free DLCs. The game also got two captivating story expansions - Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Both these expansions delivered 30-40 hours of extra content. This is why fans may suspect the same for Cyberpunk 2077.
CDPR confirmed that PC owners buying the game on GOG or Steam will get a bonus short-story called 2 AM - She Calls, written by Cyberpunk 2077's story lead.
Cyberpunk 2077 is releasing on December 10 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Google Stadia.
