Onion Games is launching their latest title, Dandy Dungeon Legend of Brave Yamada for Switch this summer.
The game will be playable at the upcoming BitSummit 2019, an indie game festival in Japan that takes place on June 1 and June 2. Onion Games is inviting everyone who attends the event to come visit their booth to play the game and take a special card they’ve made. Dandy Dungeon badges will also be available in the booth along with other merch you can find in their Onion store.
Onion Games is a small team that develops and publishes indie video games. The studio's first game is Million Onion Hotel, which was released for both iOS and Android. Next was Black Bird, a side scroller shoot ‘em up video game that was released last year for the Nintendo Switch and Steam on PC.
Dandy Dungeon: Legend of Brave Yamada is a unique, puzzling rogue-lite RPG. It is about a programmer of a popular game publication, 36-year old, Yamada-kun. He dislikes his job and prefers being alone in his apartment, creating his own RPG with himself, Brave Yamada, as the protagonist. He then meets his neighbor, 18-year old, Maria-chan, and falls in love at first sight. Maria-chan gets added to his game as Princess Maria in his efforts to nurture his feelings. Yamada will soon be fired from his company by his chairman, but this only encourages him to continue making his game with the chairman as the evil boss.
You have time to get to know the indie developer, Onion Games, before their new game’s launch to decide whether you’d like to see more of their games. Million Onion Hotel can be played on mobile devices for the low, low price of $0.99. If you aren’t a big fan of mobile games, you can try Black Bird, which was released for Nintendo Switch and Steam. You can grab a copy of the game for $19.99.
