More than half a dozen screenshots from the first Dark Souls 3 expansion were published this week, alongside a new trailer for the upcoming DLC, giving fans an early look at some of the places we’ll visit in Dark Souls 3: Ashes of Ariandel when it debuts in October.

Just in case you missed the announcement, Ashes of Ariandel is the first of two expansions being developed for Dark Souls 3 , the final entry in the Dark Souls trilogy and easily one of the greatest games released in 2016. The $15 expansion will introduce a variety of new content to Dark Souls 3 , including new armor, items and weapons, along with a new location to explore and maybe even a new school of magic. There will also be new enemies to fight, including a few new bosses. A surprisingly large amount of that new content appeared in the first Ashes of Ariandel trailer.

In addition to publishing a new trailer, Bandai Namco also released nine screenshots from the first Dark Souls 3 expansion. The images don’t tell us anything the trailer didn’t, but they do give fans a chance to examine smaller details on the people, places and things in each of the Dark Souls 3: Ashes of Ariandel screenshots. We also get a closer look at some of the new characters we’ll meet in the DS3 DLC. The images also suggest we can expect to see at least one (probably more) familiar enemy from the base game return in the expansion.

For a closer look at Dark Souls 3: Ashes of Ariandel , take a few minutes to check out the first trailer for the expansion and/or check out the image gallery at the top of this post. Then head down to the comments section and let us know what you’re hoping to see in Dark Souls 3: Ashes of Ariandel when it heads to PC and consoles later this year.

Dark Souls 3 is currently available on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game’s first expansion, Ashes of Ariandel , debuts Oct. 25.
