It's been a good year so far for wizards in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. However, there's something everyone needs to watch out for. A plan is in the works and Dark Wizards may have a role in it. It all starts with what appears to be a memo from Constance Pickering, leader of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force.
Before we begin to tell you what we think, take the time to read her memo below:
Members of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force,
This is an official coMmunication to the SOS Task Force urging all members to stay safe and vigilant. Concerning trends in the Calamity’s behaviour and recently recovered evidence have given us reason tO believe that a group of DaRk and potentially dangerous witches and wizards are able to manipulate the Calamity, an ability previouSly only known to Harry Potter and GriM Fawley.
The identities of these witches and wizards, the full extent of their cOntrol over the Calamity and the group’s intentions aRe currently unknown. However, we suspect they are plotting something big, something they have been working on a while. This group has previously Demonstrated a lack of concern for the wellbeing of the wizarding and non-magical communities. This pattern of behavior has necessitated placing the SOS Task FoRce on high alert. Until the thrEat has been contained, we encourage all agents to stay observant, keep up their combat training and report any unusual Calamity straight away.
Worry not, we will shine a light on the recent activities, bring the witches and wizards responsible to justice and have them answer for their actions.

Did you catch it? Let’s spell it out for you, literally. You’ve probably noticed some capitalized letters are out of place. These are:

- GriM
- cOntrol

- Demonstrated
- FoRce
- thrEat
That spells out to MORSMORDRE. If you’re not familiar with the lore of the Harry Potter Universe, Morsmordre is the incantation that conjures the image of the Dark Mark. It’s pretty much the calling card of the Death Eaters, followers of Lord Voldemort.
The memo may mean an appearance of Death Eaters in the game. But some players are looking at it differently. For them, it gives the possibility that Constance may not be what she seems. Even if she’s not involved, players are also saying that, at the very least, someone in the ministry is helping the “dark side.”
In terms of gameplay, one theory suggests that the appearance of Dark Wizards is like how Team GO Rocket works in Pokémon GO. If that’s the case, it wouldn’t be surprising since both games are developed by Niantic.
