The first set of ports for Red Hook Studios’ Darkest Dungeon have been confirmed by the studio, more than six months after the game’s departure from Early Access, and PlayStation fans can expect to see Darkest Dungeon hit PSN before the end of September.

If you somehow missed the game’s Steam debut, Darkest Dungeon is a turn-based dungeon crawler with rogue-like inspirations. In DD, players assume the role of a faceless protagonist who just inherited a sizable estate from their family. Just one problem: said estate is situated on top of an ancient dungeon beset by all manner of evil. Your job is to clear the dungeon, with the help of characters hired by the player. But it’s going to take more than one trip through. Between excursions, players use the treasure and other items found recovered during each trek through the dungeon to strengthen the party and rebuild the crumbling buildings on your property.

The latest build of Darkest Dungeon, built for PS4 and Vita, will include new hero classes and 40+ Town Events to add variety to the campaign, including what sounds like a random boss fight against someone (or something) called Vvulf. It’s not clear if the same content will be distributed to PC players; however, we wouldn’t be shocked in the slightest. Last, but certainly not least, Red Hook says fans can expect a $24.99 price tag when Darkest Dungeon hits PlayStation 4 and Vita this fall. As usual, there will be a 20 percent discount (at launch) for PS+ members.

For a closer look at Darkest Dungeon, take a couple of minutes to check out the game’s official launch trailer. Then head down to the comments section and let us know a) if you’re still playing the Steam version of Darkest Dungeon and b) whether or not you’re excited about the news that Red Hook Studios RPG adventure is headed to PS4 and Vita.

Darkest Dungeon is in development for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita. The game is currently available on Steam and heads to PSN on Sept. 27.
