The Deadpool movie releases Feb. 12 and the film that’s 11 years in the making is already certified fresh by Rotten Tomatoes and talks of a Deadpool sequel are already in the works.
But, like many of the superhero movies today, audiences are wondering whether the Deadpool movie will have a post-credits scene. Many post-credits scenes tease events of future films or the direction of the characters in the movie. Can a film like the Deadpool movie tease events in the X-Men film franchise?
With X-Men: Apocalypse ready to hit theaters this summer and a Gambit and a third Wolverine movie in development, can Deadpool tease those films?
Well, if you spoke to the Deadpool movie writers months ago, they would have told you that a Deadpool post-credits scene was close to not happening as they talked to Collider last November about the process.
“There is a post credit thing that if hopefully comes together, It’s gonna be phenomenal. We’re planning it. It’s one of those ones that’s gonna require some doing, so it may not come together, and if so, I don’t know, we’ll either do a plan be or none at all. I think we should have one, I mean, we really feel like we should have one.”
There are reports that there will actually be two scenes at the end of the film, not just one and Screenrant reports that the first scene doesn’t really address any future X-Men films in the FOX stable. However, the second post-credits scene is a little more interesting.
We won’t spoil the contents here but go over to Screenrant to find out what you can expect.
