Don’t have a powerful PC to play Cyberpunk 2077? No problem. You can have a small taste of it from a different game. Kojima Productions' latest and only game, Death Stranding, added stuff related to Cyberpunk in the latest update.
The crossover between Cyberpunk and Death Stranding is as weird as it gets. It’s not completely out of the blue though. Cyberpunk does have Kojima in it as an NPC. Update 1.05 of Death Stranding brings new features, missions, and cosmetics items. This crossover is not just for name’s sake. Some of these additions can change how you approach your objective.
A total of six brand-new missions are added. These missions feature characters from Cyberpunk 2077. While these missions will have some story in them, I highly doubt that it's canon. The game is adding one more gameplay feature. Now, you can hack certain objects and use them to your advantage. Watch the new hacking feature in action from the trailer below:
The update also adds new items to the game. You can get a Cyberpunk-themed Reverse Trike bike, which has a better jumping mechanism. Sam can equip a robotic-arm that will help him in hand-to-hand combat. This is important in a game where killing your enemy is a big problem.
New holograms are available along with a few cosmetics items like Johnny Silverhand’s sunglasses. The best thing is that you can get all these for free. There is no hidden micro-transaction at all.
This update just gave me one more reason to re-install the game. I already finished the main campaign but I want all this cool stuff. Keep in mind that this crossover is only present for PC. Sorry PlayStation players but you guys did get the game a few months early .
So, what do you think? Are you interested in any of these new items? Have you played Death Stranding before? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
