Sony has some interesting stuff for fans that are eagerly waiting for the official release of Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding. The tech giant has recently revealed its new limited edition PS4 Pro Bundle, which features a custom design inspired by the game.
Kojima’s brainchild will be getting its very first custom PS4 console come November 8. The custom bundle, which was announced via the official PlayStation site, will include a 1TB PS4 Pro system and a custom Dualshock 4 wireless controller. All of these will have a design inspired by the game. Even more so, the bundle will include the game on Blu-ray Disc.
The bundle comes with a matte finish and two BT handprints that seem to form the shapes of the world’s continents. The wireless controller, on the other hand, also has the same color as the BB pod in Death Stranding. According to the announcement, you can “gently rock” the controller in order to emulate holding the BB pod in your own hands.
“Using PS4 Pro, 4K TV owners can enjoy an enhanced Death Stranding experience with dynamic 4K resolution achieved through 4K checkerboard, while HD TV owners will benefit from increased image clarity through supersampling. Players with HDR displays can also experience the game in high dynamic range color, which provides a brighter and wider range of color detail for a more vibrant image overall,” the post writes.
Death Stranding will officially release on November 8. As for its Collector’s Edition, it will include some special cases, a Ludens keychain, a BB Pod, 10 PSN character avatars, four in-game items, and a digital sountrack with behind-the-scenes footage.
Meanwhile, the Digital Deluxe Edition will arrive with in-game items, avatars, and the soundtrack. The Special Edition, on the other hand, will include the in-game Ludens Mask item, soundtrack, and the Steelbook case.
The Japanese version of Death Stranding will include both the Japanese and English audio tracks. However, Kojima Productions has yet to unveil whether the game’s North American version comes with the Japanese audio. The game was developed using Guerilla Games’ Decima Engine, the same engine the studio used for another PS4-exclusive, Horizon Zero Dawn.
