Another week and another "This Week at Bungie," Destiny 2 players will be happy to know that Lord Saladin is coming back next week, which means that Iron Banner is returning as well.
Those who were unable to get the Riiswalker shotgun and Archon’s Thunder machine gun due to a bug will be able to acquire these weapons of destruction from Iron Engrams.
Bungie also encourages players to complete some Iron Banner bounties so that they can get some Pinnacle rewards. The Iron Banner event will start on June 8 at 10 a.m. EST and will end the following week on Tuesday, June 15.
Splicer Fashion Show
Players who have the knack for customizing their character’s appearance can take part in a fashion event, where they will have a chance to be featured on the game’s official Twitter page.
If you are interested, here are the things that you should do:
Customize your character’s appearance by mixing and matching armors, ornaments, and shaders.
Take a screenshot of your character in the Guardian Appearance screen, making sure that you highlight the armor sets and shaders you’ve selected.
Submit your screenshot on the game’s official Twitter or Instagram pages with the hashtag #SplicerFashionShow to enter.
The company will be featuring some characters on its Twitter page from June 7 to June 12. Those who win will be given a nice emblem, which will be handed to them by one of the community managers.
Update on Photosensitivity, Teleporting, and PC Performance
The developers understand that some people are sensitive to some in-game effects. That is why they are thinking of adding a permanent notice in the End User License Agreement (EULA) and posting about it in the game.
They are also considering refining the game graphics to address issues related to photosensitivity. While it is a complex matter, they are doing what they can to release a patch later this year.
Since the launch of the Beyond the Light expansion, more and more players have experienced “teleporty” enemies.
To fix the issue, the devs have tweaked the outgoing bandwidth limits on their servers. This fix should significantly reduce AI teleporting in the game. Keep in mind that this will not fix the entire issue, though the change should be noticeable.
Lastly, because of the pandemic, the developers had to work from home. Because of this, they were unable to fully test things in their PC lab, which would have given them information to fully optimize the game on as many PCs as possible.
Rest assured that the developers are working on improvements and optimizations for all PCs. These changes may not be reflected in the patch notes but you can expect great things to come as time progresses.
The new update that provides Stasis nerfs, bug fixes, and improvements have been released. Be sure to check out the TWAB for more details.
