If you are a Destiny player, you know who Xur is and about all the cool exotics he drops for you. This week, you can find Xur in the EDZ, standing on a bluff in the Winding Cove
Xur’s inventory for the week of February 22, 2020 consists of the following:
- The Colony, grenade launcher: 29 Legendary Shards
- Raiden Flux, Hunter chest: 23 Legendary Shards
- Mask of the Quiet One, Titan helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
- Crown of Tempests, Warlock helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
- Exotic Engram: 97 Legendary Shards
- Invitation quest: 9 Legendary Shards
The Colony
The Colony is a grenade launcher introduced in the Curse of Osiris expansion. Its exotic perk, Insectoid Robot Grenades, causes missed shots to turn into little robots that track down nearby enemies. Its secondary perk, Serve the Colony, automatically reloads the clip if the weapon is stowed for a short period of time.
This gun is extremely fun to use and packs a punch in PvP. Like Sweet Business, Coldheart, and a few other weapons in Destiny 2, The Colony really feels like it earns its exotic title. It’s unique and a blast to carry around with you on a regular basis. No matter what you enjoy doing in Destiny 2, Legendary Shards spent on The Colony will be Shards well spent.
Raiden Flux
The Hunter exotic this week is Raiden Flux. This chest piece’s main perk is Synapse Junction, which causes subsequent hits from the Arcstrider staff to deal more damage and extend the duration of the Super. There are specific times in raids or Nightfalls where this chest piece can help clear out multiple enemies at once. If you learn to use it, it can even be powerful against boss enemies. If you don’t have Raiden Flux, it’s worth your Legendary Shards.
Mask of the Quiet One
Mask of the Quiet One is a great Exotic in both PvP and PvE. Its exotic perk, Dreaded Visage, grants energy for your grenade, melee, and class ability each time you take damage. Even better, kills with void abilities instantly trigger your health regeneration. While this helmet is best used with Sentinel, you’ll get the extra energy on damage regardless of your subclass. If you’re going to be taking a lot of damage (which you will be in most activities), this is a great exotic.
Crown of Tempests
Crown of Tempests is a pretty great Warlock Exotic, especially if you like Stormcaller. This helmet’s main perk, Conduction Tines, causes Arc ability kills to recharge your Arc abilities and increase the duration of your Super — this ability now stacks as well. The only bad news about this helmet is that it needs to be used with Stormcaller, which is a great PvP Super now and is decent for enemy clearing in strikes and raids. If you don’t have this helmet for your Warlock, you should definitely consider picking it up.
Invitation
If you haven’t completed the Invitation quest yet, Xur is still offering it for nine Legendary Shards.
