It looks like a new Destiny compilation is headed to the PS4 and Xbox One next month, making it easier for those still playing the PS3/360 version to upgrade. Unfortunately, neither Activision nor Bungie have confirmed the existence of Destiny: The Collection yet. But the source of the leak leaves little doubt as to its authenticity.
Listings for Destiny: The Collection were originally spotted by Twitter user lifelower, who published a photo of the store page for the Xbox One version early Thursday morning. Unsurprisingly, both pages have since been pulled, leaving those hoping to reserve their copy unable to do anything but stare at an error screen. But you can’t put the cat back in the bag. Word of Destiny: The Collection is spreading fast. Thankfully, we do at least have a small bit of information about the upcoming Destiny compilation.
According to Amazon UK, Destiny: The Collection heads to PS4 and Xbox One Aug. 18, a little more thanone month before the game’s fourth expansion hits current-gen consoles. It’s not clear what extras Bungie is planning to bundle with Destiny: The Collection, as we’ve seen with most physical Destiny releases afterthe game’s launch, since the compilation hasn’t technically been announced yet. It’s also possible the collection could hit North America a few days earlier, since Thursday isn’t typically when we see new games hit stores.
That said, given the handful of goodies already confirmed for Destiny: Rise Of Iron , we’d be shocked not to see some new armor shaders or Sparrow skins offered to those who buy Destiny: The Collection if/when it heads to stores next month. We’d also expect the upcoming Destiny compilation to ship with a $59.99 price tag, given the £49.99 price on the Amazon UK listings.
Destiny: The Collection is in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The upcoming Destiny compilation is expected to hit stores on Aug. 18.
