Destiny: Rise Of Iron players have only had access to the game’s latest raid for a couple of days, following Wrath of the Machine’s debut last Friday, but one member of the community has already discovered a way to skip a sizable chunk of Destiny’s latest raid.
Millions of Destiny players have yet to complete all of the story content from Rise Of Iron, after it debuted last Tuesday, much less take their first steps inside Wrath of the Machine, the game’s latest raid mission. But that hasn’t stopped one member of the Destiny community, YouTube user The Lone Wolf, from publishing a video demonstration of a new exploit that lets Destiny players bypass one of the toughest bosses in Bungie’s shared-world shooter. And it might just be the easiest exploit to hit Destiny since we were all blindly firing into the mouth of a cave.
Upon reaching the Siege Engine, the massive encounter teased in Destiny: Rise Of Iron trailers, you’ll simply ignore the boss (and all of its minions) in favor of running straight to the back of the level. “But Scott, there are walls in the way!”, you’ll respond, but it turns out those massive barriers aren’t very good at keeping players quarantined to any one area of the map.
And at this point I’ll let The Lone Wolf take over, to prove I’m not just losing my mind:
As you can see, the entire process takes less a minute, but it could shave hours off your raid time if your current/regular group is struggling to take down the Siege Engine. Obviously, this is going to get patched and probably in near future. So we’d suggest setting aside some Destiny time in the next 24-48 hours if you’re hoping to use the exploit before Bungie releases a hotfix.
Destiny: Rise Of Iron is now available on PS4 and Xbox One.
