It’s Xur day, Destiny fans!
For the second week in a row, every Destiny player’s favorite traveling item vendor has returned to the Tower on a holiday, virtually guaranteeing a larger-than-average crowd of Destiny players will be on the hunt for the Agent of the Nine this weekend. Last week, Xur used the Christmas holiday to sell a handful of fairly popular Year Two items, including the updated version of The Armamentarium. But, as always, the question is will Xur have an equally exciting batch of exotic equipment for the Destiny community to get excited about this weekend?

The Armamentarium wasn’t the only popular item being sold by Xur last week. Those who prefer some of Destiny’s strangest looking equipment were undoubtedly pleased to see The Ram on the Agent of the Nine’s inventory sheet last weekend. But it’s been a few months since Gjallarhorn made an appearance in Xur’s shop back in September. And few Destiny players would argue that we haven’t seen anything half as exciting in the months since. So what will Xur have for the Destiny community this weekend?
Here’s everything Xur is selling to the Destiny community on New Year’s Day:
Empyrean Bellicose
- Defense: 280
- Intellect: 31 / 46
- Discipline: 34 / 49
- Aiming weapons while airborne holds you in place
- With full Super, Orbs recharge melee
- Gain bonus Super energy from melee kills on minions of the Darkness
- Shields start recovery immediately after Orb pickup
Sealed Ahamkara Grasps
- Defense: 280
- Discipline: 31 / 44
- Strength: 28 / 41
- Gain additional melee charge and melee damage may reload Primary Weapon
- Increased melee attack speed
- Increased reload speed with Fusion Rifles
Starfire Protocol
- Defense: 280
- Discipline: 46 / 66
- Strength: 42 / 62
- Gain an additional Fusion Grenade charge
- Reduces incoming Void Burn damage
- Carry more ammo for Special Weapons
Invective
- Attack: 280
- Magazine: 4
- This weapon regenerates ammo over time
- The last round in a magazine deals bonus damage
Legacy Engram - Helmet
As always, Xur has plenty of other goodies for Destiny players to spend their Strange Coins, too. In addition to the exotic wares, the Agent of the Nine is also selling a handful of other curios, including Three of Coins stacks. And Destiny players will also find the usual legendary Sparrows upgrades, with blue and red contrails available this week, along with the usual Motes of Light and Heavy Ammo Synthesis. Glass Needles can also be purchased from Xur this weekend.
