A new Digimon game has been announced by Bandai Namco and will continue the Cyber Sleuth series. Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker’s Memory is set to release for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita (digital only) in early 2018.
“The passion from Digimon fans requesting more Digimon titles in the Americas has been heard loud and clear,” said Eric Hartness, Vice President of Marketing for BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. in a press release. “We are very excited to have players re-digitize into the Digital World for another Digi-adventure on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita later this year.”
Fans of the Cyber Sleuth series will find Hacker’s Memory familiar in that you control the main protagonist as they travel between the real and digital worlds to solve a mystery surrounding their city.
In Hacker’s Memory, you’ll play as Keisuke Amazawa, a hacker accused of crimes he didn’t commit. It’ll be up to the player to find out who was really behind the crimes and bring them to justice while also clearing your name. But to do that, you’ll need to befriend and train Digimon to assist you in battle.
There will be 320 different Digimon to train and partake in intense turn-based battles, from Gotsumon to Devimon.
Past Cyber Sleuth games allowed players to train up to three Digimon at a time and Digivolve them into stronger forms. ou’ll be able to do that here, while also battling stronger and stronger opponents as you journey through different digital dungeons. You’ll also battle a boss or two.
