Digimon World: Next Order is launching on Nintendo Switch on February 22, 2023. It’s also coming to PC through Steam. The game is a monster-collecting and raising RPG set in the Digital World of Digimon.
You can watch a trailer giving a peek on what to expect in the game below:
Restore the Digital World
In the game, the Digital World has turned into a state of utter chaos after the Machinedramon took over. Players take on the role of a DigiDestined as either Shiki or Takuto. They go on a quest to solve the Digi-mystery and bring the natural order back to the Digital World.
As a DigiDestined looking to rebuild the Digital World, players get to meet a wide range of Digimon and recruit them as companions. They will not only explore and learn more about the Digital World but also strengthen their bonds with their Digimon companions. They will need that strong bond to stop the virus-infected Digimon from causing total destruction.
Find a Companion
Digimon World: Next Order offers players an expansive roster of more than 200 Digimon to collect and befriend. From this roster, players can choose two to go with them as partners on their adventures. To strengthen the bonds with their Digimon, players can do actions like training and feeding, to name a few. Those who make their Digimon stronger in battle can unlock their full potential through Digivolving.
In addition to Digimon, the DigiDestined will also meet a colorful cast of characters and have the chance to expand and manage the town of Floatia, which serves as a home base.
In a statement, Bandai Namco Entertainment America Brand Manager Summer Nguyen said the game represents the essence of what the Digimon World franchise is all about from the gripping narrative to the enticing world, and the lovable Digimon. She added that they’re excited to offer the game to new platforms so that fans can return to the world of Digimon or let new players experience it for the first time.
