The Division 2 features three primary factions when playing through the 40-hour campaign. However, the danger doesn’t end once you finish the story. This endgame period is when the next faction is revealed, known as the Black Tusks.
The Black Tusks can be seen in action in the new gameplay trailer above from Ubisoft. According to the trailer, the faction is focused on tech. This means the group has weaponized drones, robotics and more. This would be almost too much danger, except players unlock new abilities once the Black Tusks have moved in.
There are three different endgame builds, each with their own signature weapon. The sniper class gets a .50-cal sniper rifle, the survivalist gets a crossbow complete with explosive arrows and the demolitions expert gets to play around with a fancy grenade launcher. Along with the new weapons, players also have a new skill tree to unlock more talents and abilities. Players aren’t locked into any class, and can swap between the three specialties at any point.
Julian Gerighty, the creative director for The Division 2, says almost all content can be played by yourself if you are a solo gamer. This includes the newly announced endgame content with the Black Tusks. However, one game mode where cooperation is imperative are the new eight-man raids in The Division 2. These raids are said to be super hard, but are also a “shining jewel of a challenge.” If you don’t have a regular group of friends to game with, The Division 2 features an overhauled clan system that Gerighty says only takes three clicks to create or join a clan.
