More leaks about The Division keep getting found by reddit users. This time, a leveling system similar to Destiny’s Light has been found.

We know that The Division will feature a soft level cap of 30, but now we have learned about Gear Score. A player’s Gear Score will be calculated from every piece of non-vanity gear a player finds after they hit level 30. Each gear piece will have its own Gear Score, and the higher the score, the more powerful the piece is.

The higher a player’s Gear Score is, the more access to high-end content the player will have. It will also give you an added boost when battling in the Dark Zone.

“Improving your gear and increasing your overall Gear Score will grant your agent access to the most dangerous high end challenges,” the leak reads. “Your Average Gear Score can be found in the main menu and is visible to other players. It is the average value of all equipped gear pieces.”

If you are familiar at all with the game Destiny, this system works exactly like the Light system. Players can continue to get better and stronger gear, which allows access to higher-level encounters.

The Division is set to come out on PS4, Xbox One and PC tomorrow, March 8.

So what do you think? Are you excited to finally get your hands on The Division? How high do you think you’ll get your Gear Score? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
