The new interactive buddy-action movie from Wales Interactive is finally here. Mia and the Dragon Princess is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch; it's also accessible on Android and iOS. The game has players help Mia unravel a mystery and helping them with the gameplay is former Doctor Who actor Paul McGann.
An Unexpected Adventure
The story starts with Mia, who has long dreamt of going on an adventure but feels responsible to her workmates, which has become her surrogate family. This is the main reason why despite being bored and living a life she clearly doesn't want, Mia continues to work at her job. One day, a mysterious woman turns up and is both scared and on the run. Mia decides to take her under her wing and learn more about the identity of this woman, leading Mia to a road full of intrigue, mystery, and danger.
Trouble starts when a group of thugs turn up at the bar led by the quietly terrifying Walsh. Mai, along with her co-workers and some of the customers, are taken hostage. The stakes become high as the struggle becomes real when Mia's boss Matthew becomes injured. Now, Mai and the group end up running and fighting for their lives.
Your Choice
The game lets you make the choice to guide Mia and the whole group through the adventure and determine their fate. Throughout the game, your interaction could increase your knowledge on the identity of the mystery woman. In addition, the way Mia deals with the rest of the group also has an impact, which means each choice must be carefully considered.
Cast and Crew
What makes this interactive movie all the more interesting is the cast. Doctor Who alum Paul McGann plays as Walsh and Noa Bleeker portrays Mia. Joining them are Brian McCardie (Time, Rob Roy), taking on the role of Matthew, and MyAnna Buring (The Witcher), with her role remaining unrevealed. Other details are:
- Action designed by world-renowned fight coordinator Marcus Shakesheff (WonderWoman, Hanna, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Batman: Arkham Asylum)
- Fight stunts by Taekwondo instructor and content creator Aaron "Ginger Ninja Trickster" Gassor
- Guest appearance by Daz Black (DazGames)
