Don’t Starve Together is headed to PlayStation 4 in a matter of weeks, developer Klei confirmed on Thursday, alongside a new bundle (with a massive discount for existing players) that collects all the current Don’t Starve PS4 content into a single package.
The final word on the Don’t Starve Together release date comes courtesy of a new press release, published early Thursday morning, confirming Klei’s intent to publish Don’t Starve ’s multiplayer expansion in mid-September. Just like the PC version, the upcoming PS4 port of Don’t Starve Together lets six players to work together, or against one another, as they fight to survive. The Don’t Starve expansion also includes split screen support, for the first time in franchise history, making it possible for two friends to team up locally or online.
Of course, the studio also realizes that some players might have fallen behind on the Don’t Starve franchise while waiting for the series’ multiplayer expansion to hit consoles. To make things easier, and, you know, continue growing franchise sales, Klei will also release the Don’t Starve Mega Pack next month. The Don’t Starve Mega Pack bundles all of the Don’t Starve content currently on PS4, including a pair of UI themes, including the Don’t Starve Together expansion. The Mega Pack will start at $26.99, a little more than half the cost of buying all the existing Don’t Starve PS4 content individually; however, anyone who owns Don’t Starve on PS4 gets a 60 percent discount.
Here’s everything in the Don’t Starve Mega Pack:
Don’t Starve Together: Consoled Edition (Reg: $14.99)
Don’t Starve: Console Edition (Reg: $14.99)
Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked (Reg: $4.99)
Don’t Starve: Reign of Giants (Reg: $4.99)
Don’t Starve : Shipwrecked Theme (Reg: Shipwrecked Theme $2.99)
Don’t Starve : Autumn Theme (Reg: Autumn Theme $2.99)
Don’t Starve Together is currently available on PC. The multiplayer Don’t Starve expansion heads to PlayStation 4 on September 13.
