It's been a while since Doom Eternal got released on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. Recently, the game received a new standalone DLC called The Ancient Gods Part 1 . During the game's launch, Id Software claimed that Doom Eternal was being developed for the Nintendo Switch. They set the release on the handheld console before the year's end.
Id Software cheered up Switch fans by announcing the release date of Doom Eternal for Nintendo Switch. Surprisingly, the Switch release for the game isn't too far. Fans can begin ripping and tearing through demons on December 8. The announcement came along with a minute-long trailer. It showed the Doom Slayer's arsenal in action and the game's various demons. Fans interested in buying the game need to know that Doom Eternal is not getting a physical release. It is only available digitally on the Nintendo eShop.
Fans can expect Doom Eternal to run like how Doom 2016 did on the Switch. But unlike PS4 and Xbox One, which runs the game at 60FPS, Nintendo Switch can only run Doom Eternal at 30FPS.
