The DPC EEU 2023 Tour 1 Division 1 just kicked off and the results of the first day of matches are in. The division features some of the biggest names in the Dota 2 pro scene, with NAVI, also known as Natus Vincere, which squared off with Darkside in a best-of-three (Bo3) game.
Unfortunately for NAVI, they were dominated by Darkside’s debut at the Dota Pro Circuit 2023 (DPC 2023). The latter team features former BetBoom players like Akbar "SoNNeikO" Butaev and Vladimir "RodjER" Nikogosian. Perhaps the most well-known among them is none other than Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev.
Although NAVI bagged the first game and dominated Darkside, the latter found a way to turn the tide and win the next two games. RAMZES666’s team secured a 2-1 victory and took an early lead in the DPC points table. Nonetheless, both Eastern European Dota 2 teams had a really strong showing and gave fans an interesting series.
The first game of the match saw NAVI’s Alik "V-Tune" Vorobey dominate the lane with his Drow Ranger. He got a really good early net-worth lead which helped him big-time come mid-game. Darkside’s Sven pick, on the other hand, for RAMZES666 turned out to be a failure, as he was unable to find his footing in the farming phase. NAVI ended up winning the first match.
In game two, RAMZES666 replied with a remarkable performance, carrying his team with his go-to hero Morphling. He was just all over the map and got a really good farming pattern. After getting out-farmed, NAVI could just not answer back and decided to concede the match.
The third Dota 2 game appeared to be a really good balance between NAVI and Darkside. Mid-game saw NAVI taking the lead, but the team eventually got stomped after a disappointing clash near the Roshan pit. Darkside would, later on, secure the third match and win the series.
Darkside now moves to the top of the DPC table alongside another Dota 2 team HellRaisers (also a winner in its opening series). As for NAVI, the team will be joining Nemiga Gaming at the bottom of the table.
