Dragon Ball Fusions has been out in Japan for some time and Bandai Namco has begun releasing the first updates to the game including Online Play and the “Space-Time Radar.”
According to Famitsu -- via Siliconera -- the new “Space-Time Radar” feature allows players to find new stages through StreetPass. These Space-Time Radar stages will give players a chance to recruit new rare teammates.
Each StreetPass hotspot will give players different things. Characters vary depending on the hotspots, and there are even some that increase the chances of getting characters you’ve yet to befriend in Dragon Ball Fusions.
The “Online Versus & Ranking Function” allows players to put a team together to go up against friends and other players online. The Ranking mode lets players climb the ladder of the national ranking.
Both new updates will come to Dragon Ball Fusions players for free.
Dragon Ball Fusions allows players to go on a new Dragon Ball adventure where it’s possible to fuse any two characters in turn-based RPG battles. Players can travel and talk to different characters, and, of course, fight heroes and villains from the Dragon Ball timeline. In an added twist, players can fuse two characters together using a special Capsule Corps device.
The game claims there are “infinite possibilities” of fusions within the game and the new trailer shows us three new fusions. Young Gohan and Krillin, Young Goku and Gohan, Young Gohan and Trunks are all examples of the new fusions created in the game.
When Dragon Ball Fusions comes to the West, it will likely have these updates already loaded.
Dragon Ball Fusions will release in North America Dec. 13 and in Europe in February 2017.
