Square Enix just revealed a lot of new details for its upcoming Dragon Quest III HD-2D remake, including new character art, screens, and many more.

The reveal comes ahead of the remake's official Nov. 14, 2024, release date and has renewed the hype for the upcoming game. The publisher has revealed full character art for every single one of Dragon Quest III HD-2D's nine job classes.

These are all of the vocations that players will be able to recruit into their party and the latest reveal includes full character art for the Hero class as well. It includes a fully illustrated design and sprite model for each one.

However, what many players consider the most important reveal here is the one for the all-new "Monster Wrangler" class.

Players who were able to dive into the world of Dragon Quest VI or Dragon Quest X may notice the job class' similarities with the Monster Master class, according to NintendoLife.

The remake is a visually stunning reimagining of Square Enix's beloved masterpiece and is the narrative beginning of The Erdrick Trilogy. The upcoming game fuses pixel art with 3D graphics and brings players into the world of Dragon Quest III like never before.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D, on top of featuring brand new graphics for players to enjoy, also includes an improved and modernized UI as well as other quality-of-life improvements. The publisher also released an overview of the game.

Square Enix said that in Dragon Quest III, players will be able to form their own parties of up to four characters, including the protagonist. You can do this by visiting Patty's Party Planning Place during the start of your journey, said GoNintendo.

A Stunning Remake of a Classic

The Dragon Quest III HD-2D remake also has a new feature that allows players to sign up party members to be volunteers. When they are assigned here, they can help out parties on other adventure logs (save files) that are tied to the same account.

One of the previews for the upcoming remake showed a lot of content that the game has to offer for players once it officially launches. For example, the battles are exactly what you could expect and hope for from a Dragon Quest game.

Players will be able to either assign tactical behaviors to their party or manually choose their commands themselves. The characters in Dragon Quest III HD-2D also have a variety of abilities and spells at their disposal, according to MonsterVine.
