It's time to play ball again as EA Sports Madden NFL 24 is all set for a worldwide release on August 18. It's going to be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
There's a lot to be excited about for this new title like various improvements which elevate the football experience. Players can also look forward to seeing the return of Superstar Mode, mini-games, and cross-play support.
The highlight, however, would be the debut of SAPIEN technology. This brings the game's realism forward by rebuilding the character skeleton for more body definition and varying physiques on the field. SAPIEN not only makes the characters more human but also more anatomically correct. This should give that genuine authentic athletic motion and true-to-life movement patterns on the field.
Here's what players can enjoy in this upcoming game:
- Hit Everything
- New contested catch tackles allow for more control to play the receiver and new tackle types like Wrap tackles and Scoop tackles.
- The new Hit-Stick animations bring personality and more variety on defense.
- Dynamic branching tech now expands to blocking.
- Skill-Based Passing
- Skill-Based Passing makes throwing and catching feel more fluid.
- An overhauled catching system makes sure that receivers consistently maintain their momentum when catching the ball.
- It feels better than ever to hit a receiver in stride and give players more control to get loose and get up-field after the catch.
- A variety of new passing and catching animations to capture the authenticity that players expect.
- Foundational Football
- Improvements across blocking, ball carrier pathfinding, quarterback decision making, and defensive back behaviors.
- Provide players confidence in their AI teammates to execute the game plan the way it was intended and deliver an authentic challenge.
- A new post-play engine brings the emotion of an NFL game to life through more realistic reactions and more emotive celebrations and frustrations.
- Improvements across blocking, ball carrier pathfinding, quarterback decision making, and defensive back behaviors.
- Franchise
- Added depth in one of the most popular Madden NFL modes addresses top community requests like contract restructuring, trade improvements, and deeper customization.
