Sony’s latest offering to PC players could only be a couple of months away. According to an article, a blog post by Epic Games Store revealed the Uncharted: The Legacy of Thieves Collection PC release date as June 20.
However, the blog has since been updated and the release date is changed to "Coming Soon" once again. This hints that the release date could be wrong or revealed pre-maturely. We do know that the compilation will launch this year.
Uncharted: The Legacy of Thieves Collection was confirmed for PS5 and PC back in September during the PlayStation Showcase Event. It was revealed that the title will arrive in PlayStation 5 first, followed by the PC release, and that’s exactly what happened. The collection was released on PS5 on January 28, and almost five months later, the PC launch date seems around the corner.
Grain of Salt
Keep in mind that the PC release date isn't confirmed by Sony. So, there might be a slight chance that EGS could be wrong about it. Take this with a grain of salt. The release date is also different from the one mentioned in Steam API, which was July 15.
About the Game
Uncharted: The Legacy of Thieves Collection contains the remasters of two critically acclaimed titles, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. U4 , the last title to star Nathan Drake, was released back in 2016 on PS4. The Lost Legacy, a spin-off title starring Chloe Frazer, was released a year later.
Previous PC Ports of Sony Games
Uncharted: The Legacy of Thieves Collection is the fourth first-party title by Sony to arrive on PC. The Japanese tech giant started porting PS4 games to PC two years ago. The first was Horizon Zero Dawn, followed by Days Gone. The third and most recent title was God of War (2018), released on PC early this year and reportedly sold more than two million copies. That’s a very impressive number for a four-year-old game.
Future PC Ports
Sony still has tons of games it could port to the master race. Last year’s Nvidia leak revealed possible PC ports of Ghost of Tsushima, Returnal, Ratchet & Clank, Demon's Souls Remake, and many more. However, major games like The Last of Us 1 and 2, Bloodborne, and Spider-Man weren’t mentioned.
