Good news to all players of EA SPORTS F1 22. Everyone can now access the Alfa Romeo F1 Team 2023 C43 car. What makes this offer sweeter is that this is the first time ever that an upcoming real-world livery is added to the game. The addition of this new livery is just days ahead of the Formula 1 ARAMCO Pre-Season Testing 2023 event, which starts later this week.
In particular, the striking red and black design that Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu will drive for the 2023 season is an evolution of the model seen last year. This was the same model which secured P6 during the 2022 Constructors’ Championship, the best result that the team has had in more than a decade.

In a statement, F1 Global Brand Director at EA SPORTS John Merchant revealed that in the Formula 1 calendar, the highly anticipated moment is the pre-season testing because it's the first time that fans will see how new cars perform on the grid. He went on to say that they're happy to be part of the 2023 restart by giving players the chance to be the first to try out the C43.
Meanwhile, Managing Director of Sauber Group and Alfa Romeo F1 Team Representative Alessandro Alunni Bravi shared that fans mean everything to them and to give them the chance to drive the new C43 before it even makes an appearance in the real world is something never done before in the franchise.
New Patch
Patch 1.18 is available on all platforms with these changes:
- Addition of the 2023 Alfa Romeo F1 Team C43 for use in Time Trial game mode.
- Fixed an issue where Time Trial leaderboards would fail to load when switching between the dry and wet variants on Origin and Xbox.
- Fixed an issue where Rival avatar was missing in Career and My Team modes.
- Fixed an issue where, in some instances, an incorrect champion could be crowned if drivers finished the season on the same amount of points in My Team.
The Play List
F1 22 is going to be added to the Play List starting March 2, making it available for EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members.
F1 22 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
