As part of the ongoing Formula 1 season, all players of EA Sports F1 22 are set to continue getting access to special items. This time, it’s a McLaren Racing livery designed to be used at the Singapore and Japanese Grands Prix. This Future Mode special livery is available to everyone beginning October 11. It’s going to be part of the downloadable pack within the Podium Pass Series 3 and replaces the standard McLaren Racing livery in-game for a month.
Future Mode is inspired by the futuristic and innovative landscapes in both Singapore and Japan. The 3D graphic style presents a bright and varied palette of neon colors. Players can permanently download this upcoming McLaren livery for free and use it as a player car in the game. This new livery will also be used by the McLaren Shadow Team in the F1 Esports Series, which runs from October 12 to October 14.
In a statement, Codemasters Senior Director for the F1 Franchise Paul Jeal shared that they’re happy to have partnered with the McLaren Racing and be able to offer a new time-limited special livery. He added that they know how much players love one-off liveries and this one is no exception.
Driving Ratings Update
To continue with authenticity, the second Driver Ratings update was released. This was done in partnership with Formula 1 experts David Croft, Alex Jacques, and Anthony Davidson. The updated ratings were released to better reflect the individual performance of racers up to and including Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio D’Italia 2022.
Max Verstappen has been dominating the scene, and as a result, his overall rating is now 96. Meanwhile, Zhou Guanyu’s improvements haven’t gone unnoticed and he’s now at 78.
