Title Update 5 for Far Cry 6 is now available on all platforms. This update introduces several new features, including ammunition swapping, outpost resets, and loadouts. Let’s dive into the details, shall we?
Ammunition Swapping
The weapon wheel has been upgraded in that it now gives you the power to swap ammunition types for your weapons anytime. This is useful since you no longer have to visit a workbench to do the same thing. Take note that you do have to unlock the specific ammunition type you want first before you can swap to it.
Loadouts
In Far Cry 6, you have to use different weapons depending on the situation. For example, using a pistol is not appropriate if you want to destroy an enemy helicopter, right? In this case, you need to use something more powerful, like a rocket launcher. But isn’t it frustrating to manually change weapons and gear in the middle of a fight? Thankfully, the developers have introduced loadouts in Title Update 5.
Basically, you can create and modify up to four loadouts. You can set different weapons and gear in each loadout, which can now be easily swapped via the arsenal menu. This feature is unlocked after completing the mission, Libertad Rises.
Outpost Resets
After finishing the main campaign, you can now abandon FND (Fuerzas Nacionales de Defensa) bases you’ve previously secured. You simply have to hover any completed FND base and select the new option, Abandon FND Base.
There are a few things to keep in mind. First, abandoning an FND Base will give control back to Antón Castillo’s forces. You need to work for it again if you want to take back control. Second, enemies will be stronger as they are four levels above your current level. And third, securing the base again is more challenging than before, but doing so results in better rewards.
