The second DLC chapter Far Cry 6 is now available. Titled Pagan: Control, this is the second of three villain-focused chapters. This one put players into a nightmarish world born from the twisted mind of the brutal dictator Pagan Min. Pagan Min is the main antagonist of Far Cry 4 and the autocratic self-proclaimed King of the Kingdom of Kyrat and the Dragon Head of the Triad Empire.
For this new DLC, players get to experience something new. After every death, they lose cash, weapons, or other items they were carrying. This should let players stop and think whether they should gamble their progress against greater rewards to escape and find redemption.
For those able to save enough money without dying, they can use it to buy better weapons, or unlock permanent traits which make Pagan stronger. Some of the Traits include carrying more gadgets and keeping some cash even after dying. As they fight their way across the Kyrat-inspired landscape, players can permanently unlock new weapons for purchase by taking on Armory Challenges.
The stronger Pagan becomes, the further players can push into his mind and uncover new insights about his past along with the backstory of Far Cry 4. There are also rewards that can be unlocked and carried to the main campaign of Far Cry 6.
Meet the Villains
This new DLC is part of the Season Pass where players get to take on the role of three memorable villains of the franchise. The first episode was Vaas: Insanity, all about Vaas Montenegro of Far Cry 3. This villain managed to captivate a lot of players with his "definition of insanity" speech. In this one, players need to fight to escape the deadly and dreamlike confines of the mind of this unstable pirate.
The third one is Joseph: Collapse, which features Joseph “The Father” Seed of Far Cry 5.
Far Cry 6 is set on Yara, a fictional Caribbean Island ruled by the dictator "El Presidente" Antón Castillo. He is raising his son Diego, who has the intention of following in his footsteps. The game is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Stadia, and Amazon Luna.
