A benchmark tool will be available on Feb. 1 which will score your computer’s performance index for Final Fantasy 15 Windows Edition , making it easy to tell whether or not your machine’s got the firepower it needs to explore Eos.
There’s also special bonus content available for pre-orders, specific to which store you order from: STEAM, Origin or Windows 10. The pre-order and early purchase bonuses are available starting Feb. 1.
“By pre-ordering through the Windows Store, fans will receive the bonus ‘FFXV Powerup Pack.’ This pack contains items designed to power up the player’s performance in combat. By pre-ordering through STEAM, fans will receive the bonus ‘FFXV Fashion Collection.’ This pack contains a selection of outfits for the prince and his pals. Those who pre-order on Origin will receive the bonus ‘FFXV Decal Selection.’ This pack contains an array of cool and colorful decals for the Regalia,” Square Enix explained. Further details are available here.
The physical version disk (Steam) does not come with a pre-order bonus (though it does come with the early purchase bonus). It is an installer only and requires both an Internet connection as well as a Steam account registration.

- Engaging main cast of characters
- Fun, fast-paced combat
- A massive, beautiful world to explore
- The Regalia!
- Continuous updates have addressed some shortcomings of the initial release
- Major aspects of the story feel rushed or absent, particularly toward the end of the game
- Stealth sequences feel out of place
