After spending what seems to be an eternity in development hell, the presence of Final Fantasy VII Remake for E3 2019 has been hinted at thanks to Square Enix’s recent announcement of a concert named Final Fantasy VII: A Symphonic Reunion, to take place at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on June 9.
The concert’s location and date fit really well for E3 2019, with gaming’s biggest yearly event taking place in Los Angeles from June 11 to June 14, following media briefings beginning June 9. Microsoft and Bethesda are expected to kick off the event, with other companies following suit. A notable exception this year is Sony, who is holding out on attending the event in favor of their own, which is speculated to start with the release of the PlayStation 5 next year.
That said, there have been Final Fantasy concerts around the world in the past. The only thing that really sticks out about this one is the timing and location both line up with this year's E3. Additionally, this concert specifically focuses on music from Final Fantasy VII. It's entirely possible this concert will simply take place without any major news reveals.
The Final Fantasy VII: A Symphonic Reunion concert will be performed by a “symphonic orchestra and a choir of more than 100 musicians on stage”, according to ticket-seller The Wild Faery Company. Ticket prices start from $80 to $145, and are on sale now at the Wild Faery site.
More details regarding the show can be found here, and the concert itself will take place at the Dolby Theater, L.A. on June 9.
