With a little over a month and a half until Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl premiere on The CW, the network has released a new promo video teasing the highly anticipated crossover.
It starts with Iris, who says “It’s up to us to protect this city,” presumably meaning she’s taken on the role of team leader in Barry’s absence. Then, Green Arrow comes in, telling the team to “stay sharp.” This could be a tease for the appearance of Richard Dragon in Season 6, possibly the biggest threat Oliver has ever faced when it comes to hand to hand combat.
We also see Barry take off his mask in the middle of what looks to be a corn field, with Cisco standing behind him. Could this be the first time the two see each other since Barry’s trip to the speed force?
Next is the most exciting part. “Damnit, Wally,” Steel (from Legends ) says, which is clearly a nod to all the “Dammit, Barry” memes. “I was supposed to save the bad guys for you,” Wally says. The teaser ends with Cisco. “We back, baby.”
This is not a teaser for the crossover event, rather just a mashup of funny scenes to expect this fall. The title of the crossover event has not been revealed, but cast and creative team says it will be the biggest yet. Unlike last year where Supergirl’ s Monday-night slot was left out, it will be four hours of actual crossover. Hopefully this means all supporting castmembers and sidekicks will be included as well.
Arrow now airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m. after Supernatural , the crossover event will take over primetime on Monday and Tuesday night, Nov. 27 and 28.
CW boss Mark Pedowitz didn't say much at the TCA summer tour, aside from hinting romance could be a theme: "Romance is in the air. You get to see a whole different thing. They're all big episodic productions, and this will be even bigger."
