Riot Games's plans to expand the world of "League of Legends" are slowly becoming known as the "2XKO" fighting game will soon enter its Alpha Lab 2 program that will allow gamers to test the game early.
This upcoming second playtest from Riot Games follows up on last year's Alpha Lab 1, which allowed gamers to get a glimpse of the action.
Riot Games '2XKO' Alpha Lab 2 Dates Confirmed
In a new video uploaded by Riot Games on YouTube, the team is now ready to move forward with "2XKO" following its six-month development since the last trial period. Now, the team is opening up the Alpha Lab 2, another playtest program that will allow fans to get a taste of the arcade-style fighting experiences offered by the title.
The goal for Riot Games in this second playtest program is to "build out" its infrastructure even more. However, there is a catch to "2XKO's" Alpha Lab 2 as, according to developers, they will open up the playtest experience to a smaller list of players who wish to join the program.
That being said, this smaller playtest group will get to experience more of what the game will offer in the future, particularly as the company has already applied the many comments and feedback from its initial Alpha Lab last year.
It was revealed that "2XKO's" Alpha Lab 2 will begin this April 18, and it will be available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S and X, and PC platforms in the United States, Canada, and Brazil.
What to Expect from '2XKO's' Upcoming Alpha Lab 2 Playtest?
One of the biggest drops for Alpha Lab 2 is the arrival of the Netflix "Arcane" animated series version of Jinx to the game. Players may now view a detailed profile of Jinx from Riot Games, featuring a list of her special abilities, Supers, Unique Moves, and Ultimate skills coming to the game.
Jinx is the only additional character to join Alpha Lab 2, with the game's roster still featuring the same characters that were available in the first playtest of the game. This includes:
- Ahri
- Braum
- Darius
- Ekko
- Illaoi
- Yasuo
Additionally, instead of getting the Pulse Fuse power that consumes a Fuse from a team's slot to perform automatic combos, players will now get a new Pulse Combo setting. In this revamp, players may now set this during champion selection, and it will no longer draw from a team's Fuse slot.
Aside from this, there are also two new Fuses to enjoy via the Alpha Lab 2.

Players who were able to play in Alpha Lab 1 will be automatically registered for Alpha Lab 2, but it does not guarantee an invite to play in this next program.
